L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Ensemble | A Concert of Polish Film Music
The international orchestra Rebel Babel Ensemble conducted by Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski will interpret the works of the greatest Polish film music composers, such as Krzysztof Komeda, Henryk Kuźniak or Jerzy Duduś Matuszkiewicz.
During the concert at Cavatina Hall we will hear the voices of Polish actresses: Małgorzata Kożuchowska and Magdalena Kumorek. The guests of the concert will also be the hypnotizing Paulina Przybysz and Grzegorz Płonka – the protagonist of the film “Sonata”, called Nikifor of the piano. Inspired by the canon of Polish cinema, they will play fragments from the hundred-year history of Polish film music.
Rebel Babel on stage consists of dozens of brass musicians from different countries and soloists who recite their poetics in their native languages. At Cavatina Hall, they will perform in a sublime, jazz-classical repertoire, based on the reinterpretation of famous Slavic film composers active in Hollywood.
