The concert series Not Only Chopin returns to Cavatina Hall. Musicality, courage and beauty of sound are the distinctive features of Leonora Armellini, winner of many prestigious piano competitions, who will perform in Bielsko-Biała on 17 September. She made herself known to the Polish audience in 2010 during the 16th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition.
Armellini’s repertoire includes works by, among others, Haydn, Clementi, Galuppi, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, Liszt, Lessel, Emmanuel Chabrier, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, and Prokofiev. She is a laureate of many piano competitions in which she participated from the age of six. During the 16th International Frederic Chopin Piano in 2010, she qualified for the third stage.
She also received the Janina Nawrocka Award for “extraordinary musicality and beauty of sound”. In 2021, she returned to Warsaw and won the 5th prize at the 18th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition.
Her achievements include several hundred performances in Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Tunisia, the United States, India, China, South Korea, and Japan.
At the age of 17, she performed at the Weill Recital Hall – Carnegie Hall in New York. She has also played at the Salle Cortot in Paris, Steinway Hall in London, and the Stein Auditorium in New Delhi.
