Hania Derej is a Polish composer, pianist, and conductor studying jazz composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and symphonic conducting at the Music Academy in Kraków. She has written over 130 compositions recorded on 9 albums, including at Polish Radio Katowice. Hania performs across Europe in various ensembles, from solo to jazz quintet and orchestra, and her music spans jazz, chamber, film, and electronic genres. She has received numerous awards, including the FAMA Festival Grand Prize (2024), Jazz Talents Award (Zakopane 2025), and Young Composer of the Year (2023). Her quintet’s album Evacuation (ZenneZ Records) reached 142 countries and global playlists, while she continues to participate in international projects, showcases, and artistic residencies across Europe.
